Only 3% of Young Poles Want to Start a Business. Agnieszka Socha on the Role of Personal Brand in Business
Only 3% of young Poles declare a desire to start their own business - the worst result in 37 years. Agnieszka Socha, owner of WorkerService, comments on these figures and announces her appearance at a Business Centre Club Małopolska meeting dedicated to the role of personal brand in business.
Only 3% of young Poles today declare a desire to start their own business. By comparison, the global average is as high as 25%. This is the worst result recorded in Poland in 37 years.
What's more, Poland is one of only four countries in the world where more businesses are closed than new ones are created. In the OECD ranking of tax system attractiveness, we rank 34th out of 38 classified countries.
These are figures that should prompt us to seriously reflect on the condition of entrepreneurship in our country.
Agnieszka Socha, owner of WorkerService, has been running businesses for over 20 years: American Ice Dream, WorkerService, the Foundation "Podzielmy się Dobrem" and KSSENONKids Kindergarten. She employs hundreds of employees and from her own experience knows that entrepreneurship is not solely about achieving financial results.
It is everyday responsibility for people, workplaces, company development, and making decisions under conditions of uncertainty. This is why building trust in entrepreneurs and showing the true, human face of business is so important.
Personal brand is not today an addition to business activity. It is a way to build credibility, relationships, and competitive advantage in a world where customers increasingly choose not only the company but also the person behind it.
This is precisely what Agnieszka Socha will be discussing during the Business Centre Club Małopolska meeting.
Because strong companies are built by strong, credible people.
